Blister packaging involves a preformed plastic mold that a product is placed into and then affixed to a backing or other piece of packaging. This category is great for smaller-sized retail items that require the consumer to have a good view, as well as units with multiple pieces inside, such as thumb tacks. They tend to be easy to open and often allow the consumer to continue to use the packaging as a container. Blister packaging can be used for small- to large-scale production.
